I have worked with students for over six years to optimize their candidacy for medical school. I provide individualized coaching that focuses on each client’s strengths and areas for growth. I have worked with students for over six years to optimize their candidacy for medical school. I provide individualized coaching that focuses on each client’s strengths and areas for growth. I offer an ever-evolving database of resources to help clients solidify their knowledge, as well as a custom question bank that is updated annually to reflect current trends and topics in health care. My questions are hard-hitting, high yield, and individually tailored to your interview, school, province and unique learning needs.
As a NOSM alumnus, I can guide candidates through the school’s admissions process and social accountability mandate. I have a robust understanding of my alma mater’s curriculum and the rural, remote and indigenous health issues that affect the communities of northern Ontario. I’m proud to say that a full 10 percent of the NOSM entrance class of 2024 were coached by me. A native Maritimer and former Dalhousie resident, I am also exceptionally positioned to coach applicants to the Atlantic provinces’ schools.
Finally, with an expert background in global and community health, I am uniquely positioned to help clients interviewing at ANY school to navigate hot topics and tricky subjects - health equity, health policy, the social determinants of health, and health for minority and marginalized populations. I offer both a single-session “crash course” and a more in-depth three-session program to specifically prepare you to tackle these social medicine issues.
I pride myself on the value-added service I offer my clients and my prices are set to reflect that. I also understand deeply that financial constraints present an important and inequitable barrier to the pursuit of medicine, and am pleased to offer sliding scale pricing to clients who demonstrate financial need.

Kira has been very helpful and knowledgeable mentor for my MMI prep. Her constructive feedback enhance my responses and her tips/tricks on improving MMI interview skill has been phenomenal. What I truly appreciated about Kira was her encouragement and kind words on top of her constructive feedback. During MMI prep, I think many of us feel discouraged as we are not sure of what to do. With Kira, she gives a great balance of encouragement and constructive feedback, which is awesome (helps with confidence!). When I first started preparing for my MMI interview, I was nervous and my answers were very limited. Highly recommend Amanda as an MD interview consultant! I received an interview invite at NOSM U this cycle and found that online resources were limited—most prep was geared toward other Ontario medical schools. After purchasing the NOSM package, Amanda prepared me with relevant topics and issues related to the diverse populations of Northern Ontario, as well as the healthcare system more broadly. Most valuable were the simulated interviews, where she provided specific, expert feedback on the strengths of my responses and pointed out areas where I could better incorporate the content I had learned or improve my delivery. I found her guidance incredibly effective leading up to the MMI+panel, and she was very supportive throughout the process.

Amanda did a great job a preparing me for this year's (2026) application cycle. She was very insightful with regards to rural and Northern Ontario health.
