Hi there!
My name is Arraksana (she/her), and I’m a first-year medical student at the University of Toronto! I’m so excited to be here and to support you through your pre-med journey :)

Hi there!

I completed my undergraduate degree at McMaster University in the Life Sciences program. Coming from such a large cohort, I understand how overwhelming it can be to navigate the pre-med journey, especially when it comes to understanding application requirements, finding mentorship, and figuring out what experiences are truly meaningful. Beyond academics, I love playing sports (fellow McMaster varsity flag football player!!), curating aesthetic Pinterest boards, keeping up with fashion, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
I got into medical school on my third application cycle, so I understand firsthand how challenging and, at times, discouraging this process can be. Throughout my journey, I learned that becoming a strong applicant isn’t simply about checking off a list of extracurriculars or having the “perfect” experiences. It’s about understanding your own journey, reflecting on the experiences that have shaped you, and learning how to communicate those experiences authentically.
Every applicant has a different story, and some of the experiences that seem ordinary at first can become the most meaningful parts of your application. My goal is to get to know your experiences, values, interests, and goals, and help you present your story in a way that feels genuine and reflects who you are.
Whether you’re just starting your pre-med journey or are already preparing your application, I’m here to help you navigate the process, answer your questions, and provide honest and personalized guidance along the way. Most importantly, I want this to be a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, even if you think they’re “silly” because I’ve probably asked them too!
I’m so excited to meet you and be part of your journey. You’ve got this, future doctor!
