Hello! My name is Cam and I am beginning my residency in Diagnostic Radiology and University of New Mexico in 2027. I recently completed a PGY1 internship in General Surgery at Rush University in Chicago. I have been interviewed by 30+ residency programs, and I have firsthand experience with selection and admission committees at both the medical school and residency level.

My path through medical education has been filled with setbacks including several gap years prior to medical school, not matching my intended specialty in 2025, and participation in the infamous SOAP. Every step of the way I have learned about hardship and how to overcome it. I have also developed a unique perspective on common medical education pitfalls, how to make career pivots, and how to make professional applications that incorporate personal stories.
