Hey! My name is Connor, and I'm an internal medicine resident physician at the University of British Columbia.

Applying to medical school is a demanding and often overwhelming process, and my aim is to make it more manageable, efficient, and clear. I don't consider myself a natural writer, and I suspect many applicants feel the same way. What I offer instead is a focused approach to helping students translate their individual experiences into a coherent, persuasive application, one that stands out to admissions committees for the right reasons. Through close collaboration, we can build an application that reflects your genuine strengths and supports your goal of getting into medical school.

I applied to UBC's medical school in the 2021/2022 cycle and was fortunate to be accepted on my first attempt, despite coming from a background where no one in my circles had a connection to medicine. Since then, I've been closely involved with the interview/admissions process, and I've also helped run UBC-led outreach programs that introduce local students to medicine and support them along the way.

Outside of the hospital, I'm a passionate researcher. I study the application of genomics and transcriptomics in oncology, as well as the study of immunotherapeutics, through the BC Cancer Agency. My work of 50+ articles have been published in a number of leading journals, including Cancer Cell, Cell Genomics, JAMA Oncology, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology.

Away from academics, I'm an avid home barista, an outdoor enthusiast, and the owner of two energetic cats.
