Hi there! My name is Gelila and I'm a first year resident at UofT. I completed my medical degree at Western University from 2021-2025. During my time applying to medical school, I had many mentors who supported me in the application process and I hope I can do the same for you.

As I'm entering my fifth year of mentoring students with their medical school applications, I have helped over 60 students gain acceptances to UofT, Western, Queens, University of Ottawa, TMU, UBC, Dalhousie and McMaster. I've been fortunate to watch some of my successful mentees become consultants on this platform.

A little bit about my journey: I wrote the MCAT twice and applied once. I was able to get an interview at UofT and Western with one acceptance to Western. I use my experiences of both failure and success to help you reach your goal. As overwhelming as the process can be, remember that medical school is not a matter of IF you can get in but WHEN you'll get in.

This is my fourth year supporting pre-medical students and from my experience, the joy that came from watching my clients grow in their confidence has been so rewarding. I hope to work one-on-one with you to provide tailored support and critical feedback to ensure you feel prepared to succeed.
