Hello! My name is Jaefer and I am a medical student at Western Ontario. Before medical school, I did an undergrad and master's at the University of Windsor. I applied to 5 Ontario Medical Schools and 1 Quebec Medical School during my fourth year and unfortunately did not hear back. I took this as an opportunity to review my application, talk to mentors, and identify strengths and weaknesses to grow for the next cycle. I applied to 5 Ontario Medical Schools and 1 Quebec Medical School during my fourth year and unfortunately did not hear back. I took this as an opportunity to review my application, talk to mentors, and identify strengths and weaknesses to grow for the next cycle. The second time around, I was fortunate enough to get 3 interviews, at Western, McGill and Ottawa, with acceptances at all 3. I have also written Casper twice, achieving a Q4 both times. I hope to use the lessons I learned in both cycles to help you get where you want to be.
A little bit about me – I have a diverse background in both academics and extracurricular activities. I love soccer and have been a soccer match official since 2016, officiating at varsity and semi-pro levels. My passion for sports extends to karate and swimming, where I received a black belt in Karate and became a national lifeguard, respectively. These sports have allowed me to grow and make many great friends around the province. Outside of sports, I love music, movies and video games.
My previous work as a high school and university tutor, a teaching assistant at the University, a swimming instructor and a karate instructor have equipped me with a passion for teaching and mentoring others. As I embark on this new teaching adventure, I look forward to assisting you in every step of your upcoming cycle. Whether it be brainstorming, application editing, CASPER preparation, and interview prep (MMI or panel), I hope to ensure you feel ready to tackle the next steps in your application process! Please do not hesitate to message me so I can learn about you, your needs and answer any questions you may have!

Jaefer is really nice and helpful while practicing, he gives you resources to get what you need to really prepare for the interview days. He also gives western-specific details that really help with being able to connect your responses to the school! As I have been accepted now, I would certainly recommend working with him.

Jaefer was super helpful and friendly for casper prep! He gave detailed personalized feedback in a reassuring but also honest manner. He helped me improve and feel confident in my casper approach in just one session. Would 100% recommend him if you are aiming for a high casper score.

I had a great experience working with Jaefer on my OMSAS ABS S. His insights were invaluable, and he helped me transform my experiences into more compelling entries. Beyond his expertise, he was incredibly generous with his time, always ensuring I understood his recommendations, and even offered to reach out again if I had any additional questions throughout the process. I couldn't be more grateful for his guidance and highly recommend him.
