Hi! I’m Jugad, a first-year medical student at Toronto Metropolitan University, and I’m so excited to help you navigate the medical school application process!

Hi! I’m Jugad, a first-year medical student at Toronto Metropolitan University, and I’m so excited to help you navigate the medical school application process!
My journey to medicine definitely wasn’t a straight line. I applied to medical school twice, and my first application cycle was a humbling one: I received one interview at Western and ultimately one rejection. I knew I had meaningful experiences and a genuine passion for medicine, but I also knew there was something I needed to change. I also received 2Q on my first CASPer attempt.
My second cycle looked very different. I received interviews at Western University, Queen’s University (both rounds), and TMU. I also improved my CASPer score to 4Q. Despite a particularly bumpy application cycle (ask me about some of the crazy stories!), I was fortunate enough to receive 1 acceptance and 2 waitlists.
Along the way, I also had a shared interest in optometry. I applied to the University of Waterloo’s Optometry program twice and was fortunate to receive an acceptance both times. Exploring both medicine and optometry gave me a lot of perspective on how to articulate my motivations and experiences, and ultimately helped me understand why medicine was the path I wanted to pursue.
Looking back, I think the biggest difference between my two medical school application cycles was my ability to reflect. I truly believe everyone applying to medical school has great stories. But the next step is asking: How do you show that? How do you move beyond describing what you did to demonstrate the lessons, skills, perspectives, and passions that make you the person medical schools should invest in?
That is what I want to help you do. My goal isn’t to make your application sound like someone else’s, but to help you uncover the deeper meaning in your own experiences and communicate your growth authentically. Often, the difference is taking a surface-level reflection and pushing it one step further.
I offer individualized support with essays, ABS entries, Kira assessments, Casper, and MMI/panel interview preparation. Whether you are applying for the first time or coming back for another cycle, I want to help you approach the process with greater confidence, clarity, and intentionality.
I know firsthand how unpredictable this process can be, but I also know that your application can change dramatically when you learn how to communicate the experiences you already have.
I’d love to help you find the story behind yours.
