Hi! My name is Kayla, and I am a third-year medical student at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. With full-ride merit scholarships to both medical school and undergrad, I have an extensive understanding of the intricacies of the application process.
As an out-of-state applicant, I have experience navigating both AMCAS and TMDSAS, earning interview invites from multiple institutions across both systems, including all three of my home state MD programs and several Texas MD schools.
I have worked with applicants throughout every stage of the AMCAS and TMDSAS applications, from brainstorming and refining personal statements, activities, and secondary essays to preparing for interviews and more!
I work with applicants at all stages, and I take a highly individualized approach to narrative development and strengthening your candidacy. In the 2025-2026 application cycle, all five of the applicants I advised (100%) earned at least one medical school acceptance.
The application cycle can be daunting, and I remember having to navigate the process alone. My goal is to guide you through the medical school application process and empower you with the confidence to put your best foot forward.
