Hi there!!
Currently accepting ABS editing, essay guidance and editing, CASPer/interview prep for the 2026-2027 cycle.
I’m Nirja, and I’m a first-year medical student at the University of Toronto. I studied Health Sciences at McMaster University and received my offer of admission to UofT during my third year!
A little about me: I’m originally from the GTA and am the first in my family to pursue medicine. Since I was just in your shoes last year, working on my ABS, interviews, CASPer, and essays, I understand how stressful this process can be. I also understand how expensive admissions resources can be, which is why I try to keep my costs as minimal as possible.
My goal: I aim to understand your individual strengths and leverage them to your advantage throughout this competitive process, while also working together on areas for improvement to maximize your chances of gaining admission to medical school. I’ve been a tutor and coach for more than five years and have worked with 200+ students. I currently work at a test-prep company, where I tutor MCAT classes and lead coaching sessions. I am a 4th percentile CASPer scorer, and scored in the 96th percentile of the MCAT.
My objective is always to leave you feeling more confident after each session. A lot of interview and CASPer preparation relies on confidence and authenticity, both of which people can sense. When you feel confident in your experiences and what you have to offer, you’re ultimately able to put your best work forward.
My goal when working with you is not to simply sugarcoat things. Constructive feedback is what helped me get to medical school, and that came from actively seeking mentorship and guidance throughout my own journey. I intend to do the same for you. I’ll explain what I feel is working well while also providing actionable feedback on what can be improved.
Every person is unique, and it’s that uniqueness that we’ll work to highlight. Everyone has their own story, experiences, and passions, and I believe it’s this authenticity that stands out most in your ABS, essays, interviews, and other parts of the application.
Outside of medicine, I’m passionate about music, guitar, art, and swimming. I believe that having a strong support system and hobbies that support your mental well-being can make all the difference in the world.
The path to medical school is filled with avenues to grow, and it would be a privilege to help you through this process and share the lessons I’ve learned along the way as you take your next steps toward a career in medicine. :)
