Hi there, future doctor!
I'm so excited that you are here and ready to take on this journey :) My name is Zeynep (she/her) and I'm a second year medical student at the University of Toronto, St. George campus!
A little bit about me: I was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey (best city in the world - I'm definitely not biased), and moved to Toronto on my own when I was 16. After finishing high school in Ontario, I moved to Montreal for undergrad and grad school. I played club and varsity volleyball all my life, and I'm currently getting into running and kayaking! In my free time I enjoy painting, making home-made yogurt, and going on looooong walks with friends!
As someone who got in to medical school on their third application cycle, I understand the mental endurance this process requires. Being a premed can be lonely, especially if, like me, you don't have family in Canada. I was lucky to have incredible mentors and friends who supported me throughout the journey, and I’m excited for the opportunity to be that support system for you!
I want to emphasize one thing: every applicant is different. It wasn’t until my third cycle that I went beyond listing my extracurriculars and started sharing truly personal experiences—like my immigration journey. I'm confident that this shift made all the difference in my acceptance. I also learned that it's not just about what you say, but how you say it that can make or break an application. My goal as a mentor is to thoroughly understand what makes you you, and spotlight the life experiences, values, relationships, and even hobbies that will create a compelling narrative for admissions committees.
I recognize that the medical school admissions process can be a significant financial strain. To help reduce this barrier and support students with financial need, I offer:
If you are interested in learning more about or participating in any of the subsidized mentorship offers, please don't hesitate to reach out :)

I had the pleasure of working with Zeynep for both CASPer and interview prep, and I highly recommend her! For CASPer, she helped me think more holistically about each scenario instead of focusing too much on a single perspective. Her feedback helped me develop more balanced, well-rounded responses. During interview prep, she consistently challenged me to dig deeper than my initial thoughts and uncover more meaningful insights, which made my answers stronger and more reflective. Additionally, because her feedback was always constructive and personalized, I always left our sessions feeling more confident and optimistic about the road ahead. I'm happy to say I was accepted to my top choice for med school, and I'm very grateful for her guidance throughout the process!

I worked with Zeynep to prepare for the ABS, UofT essays, and MMI interviews. She was very approachable, and always gave feedback that was specific to my experiences and how I could portray them better. Overall, I felt a lot more confident this cycle than my previous one and I largely attribute that to her support!

I had the pleasure of working with Zeynep as my CASPer tutor, and I cannot recommend her enough. She takes the time to carefully listen to her students, paying close attention to their weaknesses and strengths, which allows her to tailor her approach to meet individual needs. What sets her apart is that she doesn't just rely on pre-made questions; she creates her own CASPer questions, ensuring that the practice is as relevant and helpful as possible. Zeynep went above and beyond by also taking a look at other parts of my application, showing how much she genuinely cares about her students' success. Her commitment and thoughtful, personalized guidance truly reflect her dedication to helping students excel.

Zeynep listened to my stories and helped me transform my ideas to highlight the CANMEDs and make a strong application for UofT. She helped me quantify and demonstrate impact on my ABS sketch, which I struggled a lot with before her. She seems to always give her 100% and I feel supported in this application process. I look forward to continue working with her throughout this cycle.

Working with Zeynep has been an incredible experience. She is extremely thoughtful and attentive. From the very beginning, she helped me bring out my strengths with clarity and confidence. Through many iteration cycles, she encouraged me to reflect on my experiences, which showed me where I had made the greatest impact in my roles and how to highlight the most compelling parts of my story. Her guidance not only elevated my writing but also boosted my confidence in the application process. I am so grateful for her support and highly recommend her!

Zeynep has been monumental in shaping how I approach and write my essays. She is incredibly thoughtful, understanding, and very approachable. From the start, Zeynep took time to understand my background and experiences, which allowed her to provide feedback that addressed my unique needs. Her tailored guidance helped me structure my essays more clearly, highlight my strengths, and convey my experiences effectively. Zeynep is articulate in her feedback, empowering me as a writer while also addressing my areas for improvement. She is dedicated to her students' success and offers consistent support. I cannot recommend a better consultant for application help. I am grateful I trusted Zeynep with this service, as she has assisted me in every aspect of the process!
